They were sticky-side up. It happens. I did my end for a replacement and I had them the NEXT day. I hadn't even dropped off the defective ones and I had the new ones already. My 4 star rating is for the product itself, not the service. I would have preferred the numbers came with stronger adhesive backing or none at all. My concern is the adhesive will dry and the numbers will start falling off after a couple years.
