I like the trays but wish they were like 9”x12” instead of 8x8”. **Q: Is there a total of 8 holding trays plus the cover, or is the cover considered the 8th tray??....just got this now. Thank you.** A: There are 8 trays and 1 lid (less depth as trays). Great for puzzles but also wonderful for sorting Lego pieces by color too! **Q: How easy are the boxes to pull apart when stacked?** A: I would not say it is “easy”, but it’s not difficult. I don’t think I’d want it to be easy. I’d rather they fit together snugly, to reduce of them coming apart and getting the puzzle pieces mixed up again. To open the trays, I rest the set on a flat surface and slide a finger nail along the edge. I’m very happy with this product, and would buy it again! **Q: Can you fit the pieces to a 1000 piece puzzle in the set of 8 trays?** A: I’ve only been doing 1000 piece puzzles, but the answer depends. My puzzles have letters on the backs of the pieces & if you have more than 8 letters it would be harder to sort if you sort by the letters. Shipped to me super fast. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great! *by P***L on November 17, 2025* Review of: Tidyboss 8 Puzzle Sorting Trays with Lid 10" x 10" - Portable Jigsaw Puzzle Accessories White Background Makes Pieces Stand Out Sort Patterns, Shapes and Colors | for Puzzles Up to 1500-2000 Pieces I got the 10x10 size which says it holds 1500-2000 pieces. I thought this meant it holds that many pieces in single layers, but that's not what it means. Possibly if you have a puzzle with tiny pieces, which I do those too. But right now I'm working on a Ravensburger large piece, 750 piece puzzle and only about 2/3 of the pieces fit in the tray set. Maybe less. So that's been a bit disappointing. That is my only real complaint though. I kind of want to take 1/2 a star off due to the misleading puzzle piece number, but it's a great product and I can always buy a second set if I end up doing many puzzles with this issue. I got the white, which makes it so easy to find my pieces. Even the white pieces aren't the same shade of white and are easy to see the edges against the white background. The trays stack tightly into each other, which means they will not fall off when stacked tightly and are easy to carry when you want to move your puzzle to a different room. The lid is a bonus! I have 3 cats who LOVE my puzzles, so having extra protection is a must. I can stack them between sessions and the cats cannot bump them to open them up. Because they fit tightly into each other, this means they are a little difficult to pull apart. So you need to use finesse when pulling them apart when they're full of pieces. Just do it slowly and patiently. They are very sturdy. A hard plastic that does not bend.
