I needed a reducer to utilize 1/8" shaft bits in my compact router that utilizes 1/4" shafts. I do a lot of detail work and needed a 1/32" end mill for fine work, but they do not sell them in a 1/4" shaft. These reducers seemed to fit the bill and they worked spectacularly. I inserted the reducer as far as it would go into my router collet, then added the bit, and tightened it up. The adapter held the bit and did not slip or break either piece. Now that I have 6 of them I hope they last the rest of my life. Good product and I would recommend them to anyone looking to utilize them in an application like I described.
