Details of separate online free tutorials to support learning. *by A***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 13, 2020* The good news - Book 3 now joins Books 1 and 2 of this well-known and respected series by being published with a CD. The tracks are well recorded and clear. I've knocked off one star because one crucial element is omitted . . . there are no countdowns nor metronome clicks to get you set for when to start playing. Even worse, this is the same for Book 1 when it is much more essential for learners to know when to play along. Beyond that, the books are well produced with minimal but very useful text.Surprisingly, there are hardly any sequences of recorder tutorials for beginners on Youtube, but I can offer details of one truly superb channel and another which is useful within limitations.If you want an online series of tutorials with a truly excellent method for presentation that is ideal for learners, look for the VIRTUAL MUSICAL MINDS channel on Youtube. They make wonderfully accessible tutorials for several instruments. There are 31 for the recorder which start with the absolute basics and progress to more advanced pieces. I recommend it very highly. (I have downloaded all 31 tutorials for practice offline).As a resource for learning about music in general, the VMM website channel is probably the best I've ever found.There are also 20 lessons on the Youtube channel named 'Mr. Erdoğan'. These are useful but much less good because of the style of presentation and the often unclear speech which is too fast. Such was the success of book 1 that we ordered books 2 and 3. These books are set at exactly the right level and progress methodically page by page such that we can now play recognisable tunes and have learnt some musical notation. To date are still on book 1, but have every confidence that given time we can master the recorder with the help of the CDs included in Recorder from the Beginning books. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Up to date with well known maker *by B***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 8, 2016* Arrived nice and early. Already wrapped for Christmas gift. I trust this book, used them when I was a nipper, did notice they put up to date tunes in.
