The woven polyethylene is perfect for this kind of mat because it barely absorbs any water - the rain just runs right through it. leaving it almost dry under foot. It is stiff enough to stay where you put it without wrinkling up. They are reversable so you can use whichever side is not going to show the particular color of dirt at your campsite.
