My garage door faces east and the garage heats up early in the summer. After I installed this kit there was heat reduction right away. My garage is only warm now instead of as hot as an oven. In Texas any reduction in summer heat is worth it and welcome. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good product - pay attention to weight of item *by M***G on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2013* Installed two kits onto a 2 bay aluminum garage door with about 4 feet left over. The metal post used to attach the insulation to the garage door on this one is far better then the plastic ones I have seen on almost all other kits. For me this allowed me to cut them down a bit and have a flush fit to the door and not have the posts protrude past the depth of the door.The kits themselves don't seem like it is too much weight and so far I don't have any problems with the door opening but I do believe when the weather gets a bit warmer I'll have the springs adjusted to support the additional weight. A garage door with proper spring adjustment should stay up when raised about 1/2 way up... I am pretty sure mine doesn't anymore.As for the adhesive (double sided tape) used to attach the posts to the garage door.... a few weeks in and they are all staying. I'll see how they hold up in the next few months but just in case I have liquid nails that I'll use on any that fall off the door.I don't know about the energy savings but by feel alone I think it has kept the downstairs a bit warmer... I'll be insulating the outside wall studs in the garage in the next few week and I then see if there is any $$ savings or if overall there is a belief it is better.100% satisfied though no matter what.
