Titled after the first lyric of Cornell's alma mater, "Far Above Cayuga's Waters", I explored a new mixed media technique, combining abstraction with realism. This version is a magical snow landscape, capturing perfectly the silent calm of a winter night. Highlighting the elements of Ithaca, N.Y., Cornell on the hill, and the boathouse along the canal, I discovered a new palette of Ultramarine Blue, and Burnt Sienna washes.
