And I cannot think of a more widely used or cloned copy of a bandsaw. The hardware provided in the bag did not fit my bandsaw's mounting post (15/16" diameter, no such small U-bolts provided). Well--I made a wooded adapter and got it all attached. I only paid $21.65 for this on Amazon since it was an item with a damaged box but complete and in "very good condition"--it was on delivery. So, for that good a deal--a little extra work and creative effort was nothing.The concept of this shield is good and I tried it out in use with doing about 25 rips and it is a good addition. It is a good extra barrier between your fingers that may wander and being around the bandsaw blade when a person is using the saw. For introducing a new person to using my bandsaw--I feel better about having this well made product on the saw for their safety and beginning inexperience. I am glad I bought it for my saw. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Makes for a safer band-saw, but not without issues *by F***O on September 29, 2014* This guard is solidly built EXCEPT for the built-in light, which fell apart the very first time we put batteries in it. The front lens popped out and the light bulb module went with it. We ended up replacing the light with another LED flashlight we had in the shop. Not a huge deal, but for the price I'd expect no issues whatsoever. Also, worth noting: The u-bolts shipped with this guide didn't fit our particular 14 inch saw set-up. The upright that this needed to bolt to was fairly narrow, and the u-bolts shipped didn't have enough threads to tighten properly. You may need to swap out for different u-bolts with longer thread sections or shim them against the upright on the saw. I'm not docking the score for that because it may not affect everyone (though shipping this with longer-threaded u-bolts would have eliminated the need for me to have even mentioned it).
