**Q: The photo looks identical to the valve i need to replace.  however, the description is inconsistent.  is this the hl-40?**
A: Yes this is the hl 40

**Q: I need to replace an aquasource single handle shower cartridge, hl-40. the one i amd replacing has a "serated end on the post the lever slips over.**
A: This replacement does not have a serated end but does have square off so once the handle is tightened it doesn't slip.

**Q: I need an HL 40 that's 3 inches not 4.25. Will this one work?**
A: No it’s 4 inches and does not fit Loews brand Aqua Souce, Loews do not carry replacements either...
