A: It depends on how hard you strike it.

A: No, I put wd40 in it, worked great.

**Q: Can You use it upside down? Will the oil come out using it this way?**
A: The oil is driven out by pressure from the hammer-strikes on the end opposite the fitting. It doesn't flow by gravity, so there is no upside down to worry about.

**Q: how this thing work, do you hook it up to an air compressor and it blows old hardened grease out?**
A: follow directions--no air compressor is used--a light weight oil is  used--sometimes just changing the fitting is the best thing to do-- and the first thing to try--some people like heating joint with a torch--but this works by tapping tool with hammer
