That was probably a mistake as it is quite generously sized. Unless you're going to wear several layers of thick jumpers underneath you could probably stick to your usual size.It's very warm though without being too heavy weight or bulky. In fact, it feels very comfortable to wear for a big outdoor coat. It's pleasing long and keeps the tops of your thighs warm too. I've yet to test the waterproofing.The only slight annoyance I have is with the Velcro fastening on the zip cover down the centre of the jacket; I would've preferred poppers all the way down (there are poppers at the top and bottom).In all, a good value outdoor coat (assuming it stays waterproof her in the Scottish Highlands!) ### ⭐ Awful Quality *by S***J on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2017* The quality of Gold Cumin that I ordered is awful. The left pocket already has stitches coming out making a hole. The bottom stitches are coming out as well. All this just under 1 month of usage and its not even Winter !Update: 2nd month now. Zip has come off broken. Now its unusable unless I take it to a tailor. Paid 49£ for this jacket. My wife is very pleased because it's got lots of great features, like fleece in strategic places inside, including inside the hood, two adjusts for the hood so you get a good fit, waistband inside which you can cinch in if you like and sleeve snaps to make the sleeves tighether at the cuffs! Only grip if there was one is that the hood isn't detachable, but do you need it to be on a winter coat? Top it all off, it's perfect for layering, as it's not too heavy, but feels windproof, though she's yet to test that and it's meant to be water repellent! Loves the colour too, as dark rather than light khaki!
