I am an infomercial junky and pretty much willing to give just about anything a try. I bought these specifically because I work long hours, fit laundry chores in whenever I can, and sometimes end up leaving clothes in the dryer over night where they sit and get wrinkled. You just put water in Mr Steamy, load it into the dryer, and within 10-15 minutes all wrinkles in clothes are gone. Whoever thought of this was a genius (or just another parent like me, overworked with not enough hours in the day to always do things right). I used to use a damp towel for this but Mr Steamy is a better alternative. The balls last FOREVER. The plastic outer shell is heavy duty, so the steam and the pounding in the dryer WORK REALLY WELL (much better than a damp towel, and there is no lint transfer). I purchased a second pair for my daughter and just recently another pair for a work friend. I am still using my original Mr Steamies (I've had them for about 10 years). Also, just a note of caution. I tried using a copycat while traveling to save a little money. The copycat did not work as well (plastic was not heavy enough to do the job well), so I would not recommend buying a knock-off. Even though Mr Steamy costs a little more, you will only have to buy them once because they really last! Then the light came on in my brain and I thought about Amaon where I have been able to find most anything. Lo and behold, they had them and I ordered three packs of them so I'd be sure not to run out. They do last awhile though but the price was right so that is why I ordered so many. I have found my clothes come out less wrinkled from the dryer when I use these balls. I still take them out immediately but I hate to iron, so I use these and don't iron anything. I recently had to buy a new dryer and when I looked at the price of a dryer with a built in steamer,I was amazed at how costly they were. I've ironed on the kitchen counter, a tv tray, and my bed. Ironing sucks. So I started hanging my clothes in the bathroom and taking mega hot showers, it works, the wrinkles come out but I end up wearing dampish clothes. Now there's Mr. Steamy! These guys like to make a lot of noise in the dryer, bouncing around doing their thing, which they do well. After a couple uses, I have discovered the best way to use this miracle of simple technology. You have to saturate the sponge inside the ball, toss it in the dryer soaking wet, with your damp clothes (not freshly wet) and run it for the last 10 minutes (or so) on a medium or hot dryer setting. Voila! You are now wrinkle free!Lightly dampened Mr. Steamy doesn't really work, nor does low dryer heat.
