Works only when the cpu reach certain temperature? anh how? thanks** A: The fan is designed to run from the 3.3v or 5v pins on the RPi. These are not controllable. If you want to use 3.3v GPIO, remember they can only support about 16mw. I would use a relay or a transistor to be on the safe side. **Q: should i use thermal paste?? and wich one??** A: You don't have to, the package comes with thermal patches that you can place on top of the chip and will work just fine. Thermal pastes are generally better (less likely to have air gaps), but for the vast majority of people using this, the patches provided are probably fine. Having said that, I did use thermal paste on mine, it was the Arctic MX-4. **Q: Can i replace the fan only when i need to? and what thermal paste should i use?** A: The fan can be removed by removing the four screws, and a fan of the same size can swapped over. However it should be some time before you need to replace the fan due to wear etc. As for thermal paste, the cooler comes with several thermal pads that work very well (only one needed at a time), however if you wish to use thermal paste, then any standard good quality CPU paste will work. Better paste such as the "Arctic Silver" brand may be somewhat overkill, but will work just fine. Though I will point out that the supplied thermal pad may be a better option as the top of the Raspberry Pi SOC is not very flat, and the pad will easily adjust to the thin gap. **Q: Is there a compatible case available to use with this cooler for the pi 4** A: I don't know of any case that this will fit into but there is an acrylic base that the the pi is screwed to that sits underneath and lift it by about 1/2 cm and the cooler then screws to the base via the pi.
