The factory strips can be difficult to remove since they'll pull away from the adhesive, but the adhesive can be balled up and pulled away from the cleaning wand fairly easily. Okki Nokki recommends that these are replaced every 50 records (which I think is way too low), but the first time you replace them, you'll see how flat and worn the originals are. Try to install them a little bit forward. The edge closest to the vertical stalk of the cleaning wand will probably have flattened marks on it and that's not where cleaning is effective, so I nudged mine a few mm towards the end of the wand, for LP's that have grooves pretty close to the label. Review: Hmmm... - I'm not sure if these are aftermarket or if Okki changed the quality of the felt. My previous strips were super smooth and laid perfectly flat. In my case, the felt is fuzzier and one edge has what I can best describe as small ripples in them. I applied this edge facing outward so it doesn't come in contact with the record, thus avoiding potential damage. In terms of size, I think these are 1-1.5mm narrower and a fraction of a millimeter thicker than my old felt strips. Overall, they still seem to work just fine. UPDATE: After cleaning about 20 records, the strip is showing easily visible signs of wear. I attached pictures of a heavily used OEM strip that came with my Okki Nokki vs a replacement strip ordered from desertcart that has cleaned about 20 records. The one from desertcart is showing signs that it needs to be replaced already.
