I bought a NEW Denon 5+1 receiver and had extra cables to outiside deck speakers (should have gotten 7+1) that could not hook up as I had four surround plus sub and center channel in LR. Thought this would allow me to get the outside speakers working like a splitter that I could turn on and off. Was wrong or either not using correctly but does not very complex. I pushed every single combination of buttons and never got any sound to go through outside OR inside. **Q: Can I use this in reverse? Multiple amps to one pair of speakers?** A: It absolutely works in reverse. I have 3 amp/receivers attached going to one set of speakers. Works like a charm. **Q: the output of my Denon 1912 is 90W per channel. This is rated at 70W. Can it support my Denon?** A: My Pioneer Elite (Model VSX53 if you want to double check the specs) is rated at 110 w/channel and this splitter works just fine.
