Could someone please help me? I am in urgent need . . .** A: What are you trying to do. These do not open. They are made to cut plastic wrap. They hook on one end and cut through the wrap. **Q: Are these good for cutting up boxes? Not just slicing through the tape but actually cutting cardboard into smaller rectangular shapes?** A: Not so much. The cardboard can get caught up in the small area where the blade is and won’t cut. Stick to tape and these work great. **Q: Will these cut clothes in a trauma situation?** A: I wouldn't think so. The cutter is tucked in the end. You have to get it situated on the tape of a package for it to work. **Q: Does this product work?** A: Yes it does work, and very well at that! If you are using it constantly every day, like for eight hours shift of work, the blades of course become dull, you don't get that quick cut, like in the beginning, but it's a very good tool!
