## Description

desertcart.com: BOTTLE BOTTLE Glass Pitcher with Lid and Handle 50 oz/1500ml | Water Pitcher,Ice Tea and Homemade Juice,Heat Resistant Borosilicate Glass Carafe ,Hot/Cold Water : Home & Kitchen

Review: 5 star pitcher - This picture is so elegant, it is delicate compared to a heavy duty mason jar type picture I use for making teas. I put my teabags in fill it with boiling water, steep, and let cool. Sometimes I sit the picture in a bowl of tap cold water to cool quicker. This picture takes both heat and cold no problem. I have two of them.
Review: Cap fits good - Very nice, filled with water and it comfortably holds 50 ounces at the neck of the pitcher and not the very tip top like some other brands. Top stays on and is easily installed and removed without force, but it’s not going to just fall off as you pour like I read in some reviews it fits snugly 0 problems. If you get one that does just have it replaced for free, yes it’s borosilicate glass so expect it to be delicate and don’t bump it. I didn’t really want a borosilicate pitcher but seamed like all pitchers like this are. Very nice I like it.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: To what temperature must this borosilicate pitcher (with boiling hot tea) cool down before putting it in the refrigerator?**
A: "Borosilicate glass is a type of glass with silica and boron trioxide as the main glass-forming constituents. Borosilicate glasses are known for having very low coefficients of thermal expansion (≈3 × 10−6 K−1 at 20 °C), making them more resistant to thermal shock than any other common glass. Such glass is subjected to less thermal stress and can withstand temperature differentials without fracturing of about 165 °C (297 °F)."
From Wikipedia. So if that is true you can put hot water in the pitcher then in the freezer and it shouldn't crack. You could also pour boiling water over ice and the glass shouldn't crack.

**Q: Tall glass pitcher: top continues to fall off when pouring. how do i receive a replacement top??**
A: Is this rubber in it? You may need to adjust it. I doubt you could replace that piece.

**Q: Does it have a metal handle?**
A: No it does NOT have a metal handle
It's all sturdy glass. The top is the only metal part. All very sturdy. Highly recommend

**Q: Electric stove or gas stove usage for these glass containers?**
A: I still have a gas stove, & it works on mine. I'm sure it wouldn't be any different with electric, but not sure though.

It was extremely well packaged. Quality glass carafe. The lid is stainless steel. The neck is narrow which I really like. Holds 50 ounces. I am super impressed. It deserves a 5+++ review.
