The swing will run, slow down, stop, and restart as it is trying to find the appropriate swing speed if there is not a baby or other weight in the seat. We recommend that consumers try putting a gallon of milk, container of laundry detergent, or something similar in the swing seat if Baby has not arrived yet. Additionally, the swing may need a light push to start the swinging machine. After turning on power, the product may not swing unless there is a child in the seat. A heavier child will reduce the a of swinging on all settings. If the swinging stops while using a lower setting, try a higher setting. Give a light push to start the swinging motion again.
