Do I need a heavy duty staple remover?** A: The fewer the number of sheets stapled the more is bent over on the back. This makes it too much the office stapler staple remover. You need to straighten the bent over “legs” to make removal easier.. **Q: Does the stapler open-up so I can staple onto wood?** A: no **Q: Can this be used for stapling booklets? Or does it not reach that far?** A: This is a well-built unit that takes the frustration out of trying to staple larger numbers of pages but it's definitely not going to work for booklets. First of all, there was a tear on the side of the box, which makes me wonder did someone just try to peep in to see what it is? Next, the product isn't stable when placed on the table. The black rubber was poorly manufactured. So, I returned this in the end. I took the risk to get something else indeed. And boy was I glad to do it, the next stapler I got met my expectations.
