Review: One of my absolute favorite cook books! - I don't often come to write reviews, but the author/chef of this book deserves to be known! Oh my goodness...thank you Nargisse for helping to make this Colombian mama a star in my home. My husband is North African and loves Moroccan food. I never felt brave enough to explore as I thought I'd do it no justice. But literally every single recipe I've tried from this book has been a roaring success at my table. And the Harira soup! Wow! Total zing. I'm making it now (for the upteenth time!) and the aromas are firing up my tastebuds...can't wait to get stuck in. A must for anyone looking to impress friends and family with incredible food
Review: This is a beautiful book with clear recipes and gorgeous photography. I have quite a few Moroccan/North African cook books and this will become a favourite. There are seven sections: starters to share, vegetarian dishes, meat, poultry, seafood, breads and sweets. It includes classics you'd expect, traditional recipes from some of Nargisse's family and also modern takes on the style of cuisine which are bright and fresh. The recipes are clearly written and easy to follow and the preambles give serving suggestions and some lovely insights into family life and food. Every Moroccan food fan should have a copy of this to cherish.
