It is for travel and that is made clear the first time you try to intigrate it into your home set up. Unless you have a very shallow lathering bowl, it’s not going to work. I feel that I had more lather on my fingers and the handle than in the brush. Face lathering might be better, but my attempts led to more frustration as my preferred method is bowl lathering... Overall, this is a great brush for what it is and I don’t own a better TRAVEL brush. I was given a Simpson’s travel case as a present and they go very well together. Simpson brushes are high quality, best badger hear is enough difference to tell vs pure badger, and I like the short knot it makes lathering a dream.
