They were initially tight but the jeans being "high-waisted" I found they were easier to do up when pulled up high. I just hope they don't shrink like my other 100% cotton Wrangler jeans have done. The experience of others might be different as I tuck shirts in and since it's winter in southern Australia I wear layers. The hammer loop is on the right, which is opposite to other carpenter jeans I own. The sewing around the crotch area is a little messy on the inside, otherwise they appear well-made. The claim of 14.5oz denim is curious. The package weight is very close to Carhartt logger jeans of the same size yet that brand feels significantly thicker and heavier despite being only slightly heavier denim at 15oz.
