So many people recommended we use engine enamel for heat resistance because the boxes must be repainted every few years and they supposedly had good results of their own. Maybe it’s the brand, and, yes, I know a metal mailbox and engine block are not the same, but I would expect this to hold up more than a year. The color began to fade almost immediately and now we have vermillion mailboxes next to bright red ones painted at the same time. These will be stripped back down - it won’t take much! - and painted with far less expensive and better wearing paint. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ High Temperature Spray Paint used on my catalytic converter *by B***N on Reviewed in the United States on 17 June 2022* I was looking for a high temperature bright red spray paint. This product was perfect to paint my catalytic converter (CC) as a theft deterrent. In my area, there has been a rash of stolen catalytic converters from vehicles. I painted my CC in red paint and used white bold letters for the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)! ### ⭐⭐ Buy another brand *by M***S on Reviewed in the United States on 2 April 2023* I ordered bright red paint. I received a can labeled as such but paint inside came out obviously orange. Not sort of, very crayola orange. I hesitate to call it paint. It’s thinner than water, its basically brake cleaner with orange food coloring. All I have painted is one v8 engine oil pan and half the can is gone, 3 coats on bare metal and the color is still not completely uniform.
