The color is bright but I didn't really care about that. The eraser doesn't erase completely. You can still see a shadow of what you erased. The size and shape is perfect if you need a bigger pencil. I would recommend this not just for children but for people who have trouble with gripping.

A: about 3/8, but other great feasire is the soft lead for use in woodworking. grandkids love them and so does grandpa

A: Sharpener not included

**Q: What does the HB stand for?**
A: Its the strength of the lead. HB is a stronger lead than a regular pencil. My son uses these and they break less than a regular size pencil.
