If I catch the feeling of congestion coming on and take this, it stops it cold. I even use it to ward off any problems when I'm going into somewhere with a lot of second hand smoke. I used to get sick every time I went to a casino, now I take this ahead of time, and I'm fine. True test came this week. My 17 year old daughter got a cold that rapidly moved into her chest. She sounded horrible and I was going to take her into the doctor if she sounded any worse the next day. I gave her a dose of this in the afternoon and another at bedtime, along with Mucinex.
