## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do I have to mix the whole content of the container, or I can leave part of the mix for future use? I see no mixing instructions. ...**
A: You can mix the container, and use as much as you want. Think of it like paint. It is water base, so if you store it too long, it will dry out, but a few drops of water mixed in can bring it back to a useable state.

**Q: No product info regarding a cayalyst...is there one and if so how is the product thickened or thinned?**
A: If by catalyst, you mean like hardener (with fibreglass, for eg), one is not necessary. The product is activated by heat. I found, that it hardens well but with frequent heating and cooling (bbq, auto uses), it breaks down.

**Q: Will this product work filling a serpantine belt tensioner mounting bolt hole on aluminum block then drill and tap and hold boltwith 51ftlbs of tork?**
A: Really don't know>. I used it on a cast Iron stove>. it dried really hard and it seems like a good product but I couldn't vouch for it's strength.

**Q: will this work with auto frames?**
A: It works fantastic on a crack of an exhaust manifold but I definitely would not recommend for a cracked frame. Nothing but welding would be trustworthy.

    works

Used this to finally patch and attach my Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker pan handle that needs replacing every year or so.. (see my post on that) I wrapped it in wire mesh, installed a stud rather than use their screw and fashioned a conforming handle with this. All I can say is the flames from the stove don't seem to effect it at all and it is very strong. Hard to mix and can be runny. Appears to be a mixture of epoxies, glass and resins. But unlike low temp stuff it doesn't seem to melt, crack or expand with high heat. Tested temp at the pot handle and it was 720F.

Worked great on our wood stove!

*by M***R on Reviewed in the United States on 21 December 2015*

Used this stuff to patch the inside of our wood burning stove. It took 2 applications in some spots because the cracks were so big, but it has held very well. I've noticed a lot of negative reviews say this doesn't hold up when exposed to water. That may be true, but a wood stove has no water to worry about so it works great for that!

Strong against fire, weak against water

*by S***Y on Reviewed in the United States on 24 November 2013*

If you need something that will stand up to extreme temps, this might be for you, but it was not for me. I just needed something that would take some heat but also stand up to moisture. I was unlucky enough to buy this just before the reviews of it not being water proof showed up so I was quite disappointed when it dissolved! Because of this I'm better off with a 2-part epoxy for my purposes. Maybe I'll have other uses for it in the future, but I'd be sure to coat it in something to protect it from water!Be sure to mix this thoroughly before use. Basically the stuff sinks in the water so you have to stir it back up to turn it into a goop. As the water dries, it solidifies like depositing sediment providing a little bit of control over how runny it is. Although it is much more runny than putty and great for flowing into a mold or something. It is an interesting material if nothing else.
