What king of holding system, and misting?** A: The cigar community loves this hack for keeping cigars at the right humidity since the silica beads absorb liquid but don’t hold on to it forever. Instead of using jars of silica gel you can use the un scented silica cat litter as a medium for the distilled water to stay in and normalize humidity over time. Great second use for these crystals and so much less expensive than the jars you buy ore-made. We keep a bag on hand and use a pair of pantyhose to dry out electronics in our house. Just put the electronics in the hose and we put the electronics in the silica. I think some people have used this for flower drying too. Lots of great uses. **Q: Hi. Is this brand flushable?** A: The Directions on back of the package says absolutely do not flush in toilets or septic tanks. We do prefer this type of litter. No odor and easy to scoop. We add a little baking soda every other day to freshen. Have used this litter for a couple of years. When we go back to commercial occasionally we always come back to the Litter Pearls. Have two large cats that like it and use it frequently. Might suggest using the Litter Genie system along with the litter box. It adsorbs approximately 4 times its weight in water; and while it does not expand (partly because it adsorbs rather than absorbs), it's the smaller pipes with other "clutter" that the litter will encounter first—basically it's a near-guaranty that you'll clog your pipes in the most unpleasant way. If you happen to live in California, flushing ANY cat litter is illegal for several different reasons. **Q: How do use this litter? As a cat owner, you already know the many issues cat litter brings, and I was determined to find one that (a) controlled odor, (b) was easy to clean daily, (c) had low/no dust, and, (d) MOST importantly for me - no tracking! I've purchased every single brand I could find, prices being no factor in each one i bought, & each month changed the brand for the best results. Well, let me tell you - THIS IS IT! I have NO more litter in my bed, floors, etc., or stuck to her paws each time she exited the box! (I purchased the "trackless" type of Litter Pearls since this was my main complaint.) It controlled the odor for an entire month, it barely stuck to the "poop" in the box which made it easy to scoop & had little to no dust, the urine absorbed quickly and was also easy to scoop if needed (but is not meant to clump or scoop out - only absorb) and I barely needed to vacuum the floors daily like I have with EVERY other brand of litter! This stuff is awesome! It looks very similar to Pretty Litter but has no urine monitoring feature.I have to admit, it took me months to work down the list, and still have several more brands sitting here, but I'll be donating them to a shelter and NEVER switching from this one in the future! After searching for the perfect litter, I think I've finally found it.Pros:- Very low tracking. The box is in my bedroom closet and I've only found two crystals in my bed within the past month.- Hides smells very well. I have a quality air purifier right by his box, but I've definitely had bad smells linger longer with other brands of litter.- The crystals are tolerated well by my picky kitty, and even I hardly notice if I step on one that found its way onto the nearby carpet.Cons(ish):- Not perfect at absorbing urine. My cat takes very large pees and I have yet to find a crystal litter that actually absorbs it all.
