The top, a slice in the front allows for a better fit. The lower, depending on the depth of your denture, you may want to trim it a bit. They're fantastic! If I'm going out to eat, I use a bit of poligrip on the bottom. The bottom tends to come loose with hot or cold drinks. Other than that, they stay put and no messy goop to clean up. They have totally gelled with the adhesive strip and becomes messy. In my opinion they should have made it like band aid peel off.
