However, I do think it's capable of lighting a cigarette. I don't think you could light a fat Cuban cigar but someone else may know. I have tried rechargeable lighters before and some of them felt very cheap, and this one still feels a little budget, but for around $8 I think it is fair for what you get. The case is one of the better parts of it. I would call it more water resistant than waterproof, since it does not completely seal shut, but it does give the lighter some protection. The rubberized outer case feels solid in the hand and I really like the look of it. It has kind of a futuristic design to it and it also comes with a lanyard, which is a nice extra for camping gear, go bags, or everyday carry. The lighter itself works like it should. The arc lights consistently and since it is electric you do not have to worry about butane, pressure, or normal flame issues. I tested it in front of a fairly strong fan and while I would not call it fully windproof, it definitely held up well and did not blow out. The arc kind of vibrates in heavy airflow, which was interesting, but it still worked. If you shield it a little with your hand outdoors, it should be just fine. One thing I noticed right away is that it is very lightweight, which I like for pocket carry.
