I've read a few complaints about the zippers and yes they can be a problem, but I find only to be true if you set it up and tack it down without paying much attention to the hexagonal shape. Clam also solved the plastic coated zipper problem by redesigning them with a fabric tabs instead. After setting this thing up a good dozen + times I would make the following recommendations: Keep both doors open when setting up/taking down the shelter. Face a door into the wind and start your first tether strap and ice screw. This will allow the wind to pass through the shelter when popping out the sides and roof. I highly recommend using a cordless drill and bit to make a pilot hole for your ice anchors! You will learn the hard way that these things don't go in easy and often break the ice around them making for twice the work. Once your shelter is popped up, check and adjust the shape carefully! Put in a couple more ice screws and tether on the windy side first. Zip the windy side door up once you are confident the shelter won's shift around with the wind. You might have to loosen the tether where the door is so it's important to have other tethers anchored as well. Personally I only use the door located downwind as you lose less heat especially when using a heater inside. This tent is NOT light and NOT small when packed up so plan accordingly. I use a sled with skis to transport this and it pulls like a dream. When it comes time to break the tent down I recommend scrapping the bag and just use a couple of cinch straps as you will probably have to de-ice it later in the evening anyway. Getting it packed back into the bag on the ice can be a challenge and is not worth the cold hands you will end up with especially after being used to the warmth of being in this shelter. A collapsible shovel doesn't hurt to have either. If there isn't much snow just use the shavings from your auger to pin down the windy side. I also recommend drilling holes about 3-3.5 ft. from the corners (as many as needed). this lets you comfortably place a bucket in the corner and use the shelter as a back rest while giving you the most usable space. I'm excited to spend a night camped out in this hub and very confident it will be comfortable. My only complaint with this shelter is now all my friends wait for me to get out on the ice and setup before coming out! They quickly solved that problem with free beverages :-) Review: I absolutely love it. The easy set-up - While I've only used it a few times, I absolutely love it. The easy set-up, the spaciousness, and the heat retention are the things I like best. The draw backs are the inadequate zipper is not strong enough to handle the tork necessary to close in significantly cold weather conditions. Those conditions restrict the fabric from stretching enough to zip the doors close. This seems to be more of a problem on the lower section of the door. Even with all the screens up its still pretty light inside. The thermal works amazing on the shelter, even with a 15 below wind chill **Q: Does it have just one door?** A: No, it has two doors. It's a great hub shelter! I don't know of any hub shelters that have only one door in the last 4 years or so. Thanks!** A: I have fished in the rain several times in my Six Pack. I would say that it is water "resistant". In a light rain shower, you will not have any water coming through. If you happened to be in heavy or prolonged rain storm you will have some water dripping through. But you will still be mostly dry and comfortable in the shelter. Exact difference between the Rubber coated Inside which cost less an the Thermal version that cost more? The Thermal version Is Not as hot In warm weather.
