The 2 wires go out the side of the flashlight case. Every time I turn the exterior power on, the flashlight cycles thru the 3 modes! So, I just bought the similar flashlight with only one mode. I use it in my Light Sport Airplane, To do that I bought a tiny step down voltage converter so I can use my main electrical system to power it. Great project if you are a do-it-yourselfer with a drill press or dremel motor. **Q: Does this get too hot to touch after it's been on a while? It would be used as part of a child's costume!** A: Don't recommend you use if for a childs costume. **Q: Can this be used for helicopter signaling** A: No **Q: Can I get a pressure switch for this? Offset mount?** A: I guess anything is possible, but what you are asking would not really be practical. I use the light for chasing coolant leaks with fluorescent dye.
