Like it is eating celery non-stop all day. Why?** A: Could it be that you do not have it installed on mounts with rubber isolation? Are you using it as an operating system drive or swap drive? Mine are all whisper quiet, but used for large file storage and are mounted in plastic cages with rubber isolators. Any drive is going to be noisy if it's hard mounted to metal and has to seek all the time. **Q: Does this drive have international WD warranty?** A: That's a legal question and the answer may depend on where you are located. You should ask Western Digital directly. Also, a warning: some sellers here on Amazon sell OEM drives which do not have a Western Digital warranty. This has happened to me three times. In each case, Amazon has helped me exchanged the drive for one that was under warranty. I make it a habit to register every new drive with Western Digital as soon as I receive it.
