Other aloes feel like you jump from one extreme to the other- very hot to shoving ice cubes on your chest and then within minutes, it simmers back to feeling way too hot. This aloe does not give that initial jolt of cool, but it does not warm up quickly at all. The lidocaine is very soothing and allowed me to sleep with no irritation in that area. After the fact- the only thing left on me from the burn is a bit of redness. It's been 2 days since I was burned, so for a normal person, that might sound normal, but for me it is not. I am basically a walking piece of tinfoil under a heat lamp. Once it gets in, it does not want to go out.
