## Description

The MediViz hot eye compress is highly recommended to relieve symptoms of irritated eyes and eyelids. It is an easy to use eye compress that is sure to become your go-to for eye relief. It has an elastic Velcro strap to secure comfortably to your head.How does it work? The eyelid has glands that produce an oil that is the consistency of olive oil, and that oil helps coat your tear layer to prevent evaporation. For many with irritated eyes the glands can produce secretions that are thick, like butter, and clog the glands. To keep the glands secreting properly, heating the glands with the Eye Compress can unclog the glands, providing a stable tear layer. The heated Eye Compress allows the glands to function properly to give immediate comfort. How to Use For Heat therapy: Place mask on a paper towel. Microwave for 20 seconds. Test mask temperature with fingertips. If the mask is too hot, allow to cool for 1 minute before testing with fingertips again. If the mask is not hot enough, microwave in 5 second increments until desired heat is achieved. Do NOT heat the mask for more than 30 seconds at a time. Apply mask to the eyes for up to 10 minutes or as directed by your doctor. The eye compress is easy to clean and the cover can be hand washed with mild soap and then air dried.

This is the most comfortable, cozy eye mask out there! The luxurious blue velvet fabric material is beautiful and soft and the flexible Velcro strap does not grab my hair but lets me adjust the eye mask to fit my head! This seems to be the right choice after comparing it with other items available. This heats in 15-20 seconds. I tried both! 15 seconds seems OK for shorter wearing times and 20 seconds makes the heat last 10 minutes or more. The reason I am using this mask is because my doctor told me to get one to deal with an eye infection in both eyes. My eyes had literally turned red and were painful. I have medicated eye drops to use three times a day and then I'm supposed to use this mask 5 times a day. Doctor's orders! After days of use my eyes are going back to normal now. For portability try putting it in a zippered plastic bag for transport! I am very happy with this eye mask and would get it again. The actual fabric cover is washable so I will do that in a few days when my 7 days of therapy is up! This is a high-quality, well-made eye mask that I'm sure you will adore as much as I do. ~The Rebecca Review
