It is about 14.5 and 15 inch could stretch it a bit. I love this bag though as it perfectly fits my 11in laptop and it is a perfect hand carry for frequent travelers. **Q: Is it water resistant?** A: Mine seems to bead and shed light rain. But I don't think it would stand up to a prolonged downpour. **Q: Is it waterproof .** A: No, and it is not as nice as the original one I bought. I don't think I would but it again.
