Review: Good Decision - Happy with Modem - It's been almost 9 days since I replace my clunky, big, hot Spectrum Internet modem with this Arris modem. My Internet connection has not dropped once since I connected it up. With the Spectrum modem it was dropping almost every day (which if you work from home is a real pain). Setup was super easy. Moved the 2 cables from my Spectrum modem to the Arris, called the cable company and asked them to activate the modem. Took less than 10 minutes for the whole thing. NOTE: 1. Change the password on the modem as soon as you set it up. Very important! 2. If you have another device at home that provides wireless connectivity, like I do, disable the wireless connectivity on the modem - you don't need it - and it protects you from drive by wireless hackers (they are out there). You will see the 2 wireless lights on the front of the modem go out. So far, very happy with this purchase. I will return my Spectrum modem, and most likely my Spectrum cable box too. Spectrum is constantly raising prices - it never ends - and I rarely watch cable TV anymore - it's all crap. I have transitioned to steaming TV, and no longer need the cable company for TV.

**Q: I was reading that you cannot run the lan jack and wifi at the same time on this device, is that true?  Has anyone else experienced this problem?**
A: Yes, you can use LAN and wifi the same time.

**Q: i'm using this with netgear router (with port forwarding). therefore i have to run this modem in bridge mode. would i be better with a cheaper modem?**
A: I think you'd be better with a cheaper modem.  The whole point of getting this modem is so you don't need to purchase a separate router/Wi-Fi access point.

**Q: This says it isn't compatible with at&t, does that mean my iphone, with an at&t connection, will not be able to use this modem?**
A: It is not compatible with AT&T High Speed Internet service, only good with traditional Cable Service.  Your iPhone will connect to the Wi-Fi without issue.

**Q: where is the wps button?**
A: This device does not have the WPS button. You can use the two SSIDs (2.4 GHz or 5GHz) to connect your client devices to SBG10
