If done this way, impossible for the flash to fall off - see the photos I posted to show how it is mounted. As shame that this is not intuitive - Because if you do what seems natural - wrap the velcro around the OUTSIDE of the softbox - it will fall off every time. The manufacturer should put a 1 page instruction sheet in the package, but they don't. **Q: Has anyone used this with the NEEWER TR-988?** A: It's difficult to attach to the flash unit. The Velcro straps are not placed well and are too short. I've used it with a Yongnuo YN568 EX II and Canon 600 EX-RT and I had to use my own straps to secure the softbox to the flash unit. I'd recommend spending a little more for a better softbox. **Q: How many of stops of light do you lose when it is on the flash?** A: I did a quick test using my Canon 430exII on a white wall. IMHO, lost light is about 2/3 - 1 stop of light, which is easy to correct. More importantly, the historgram had a better curve with the softbox. **Q: Does this work with the Neewer NW561 external flash?** A: This works with both my Neewer and Canon speed light style flashes. Pretty much any flash with a rectangular head will work as this is a flexible and expandable mounting opening. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐ Review *by S***N on 12 November 2016* The velcro strap is too small to hold the softbox around the flash. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by D***L on 5 September 2018* Muy buen efecto de flash que te otorga, es muy versátil, liviano, los materiales son de buena calidad y muy fácil de guardar en tu mochila ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by J***S on 17 January 2015* Da ich kein großer Literat bin, werde ich mich hier recht kurz fassen: Vorteile: - leicht - schnell angebracht - sehr leicht zu montieren - kleines Packmaß - mit 30 cm² eine ausreichend große Fläche Nachteile: - verdeckt die Lüftungsöffnungen am Blitzreflektor Kurze Erläuterung zu einigen Punkten: Die Montage erfolgt mittels eines Adhäsions-Klett-Bandes und ist innerhalb von Sekunden erledigt, auch ohne Übung und ist ohne Spuren auch wieder komplett zu beseitigen. Wenn man den Bouncer nicht braucht, lässt er sich auf ca. 20x25x1,5 cm zusammenfalten. Das zusätzliche Gewicht fällt im Fotokoffer nicht auf. Natürlich sorgen große Studio-Bouncer mit 0,5-1 m² für weicheres Licht, aber die trägt man auch nicht so ohne weiteres mit sich herum. Nach meinem, rein subjektiven Eindruck, ist das Licht deutlich weicher als bei den kleinen, milchigen Plastik-Bouncern, die es zu den Blitzen dazu gibt. Es ist also ein guter Kompromiss. Nun zum einzigen negativen Punkt (der aber nur bei wenigen Blitzgeräten relevant ist und deshalb auch nichts an den 5 Sternen ändert): Bei der Montage werden die Belüftungsöffnungen an meinem Nissin MG8000 extreme abgedeckt. Dadurch wird dieser nicht mehr so gut gekühlt und sollte nicht mehr im Dauerbetrieb eingesetzt werden (also nur noch so, wie andere Aufsatzblitze es auch können). Pausenloser Dauerbetrieb ist aber auch eher im Studio anzutreffen und dort kann man dann auch andere Bouncer mit Stativ einsetzen, oder man begnügt sich eben doch mit der milchigen Plastikkappe als Bouncer.
