Then when you press Off it does a quick burst. This is not like a regular blender. **Q: what size are the smaller containers?** A: I can't find my small one just now but I believe it was 8 oz. The larger ones are 16 and a bit. **Q: What voltage does this take? I travel alot and need it to take between 120-240 volts? It should say on the box or on the plug.** A: It does use 120V. But if are going to travel with it, a Magic Bullet would be better. The only r eason why it lost a star is because when you switch bottle to jar or to grinder you have to remove blade and it stays stuck to the jug rather than black base. This is dangerous as you have to pull it out and it can easily fall and cut you. Not the safest design. I am considering returning it because of this as my kids can't do their banana milk shake without me doing changes...
