Gorilla Tape is like super duct tape, and is only sticky on one side. And it's really sticky. So, not only will it be hard to remove if left on your counter for a while, but it isn't sticky on both sides. **Q: im looking for a tape to use on a textured painted wall, over time, would this tape damage the paint upon removal? should I use a lighter tape?** A: It is STRONGLY recommended not to use adhesive fasteners on painted walls. In time, it will rip the paint, and frequently the top layer of drywall with it, requiring re-spackle and repair. Best to use standard nail/hook or even small anchored screws if possible.
