If you are looking for cutting something thicker then this would not work **Q: How often does the blade need replacing when cutting paper only? When cutting cardstock only?** A: We would recommend changing your blade when you notice the line is not as crisp. It really depends on the thickness of the card stock also. We find if you are using it everyday frequently on thick heavy card stock a more frequent change of twice a month may be required. **Q: Is there a way to sharpen the blade? If so, how?** A: As far as I know, there is no way to sharpen the blade. It is so small that it would be difficult, if not dangerous, to try to hold it and sharpen it.
