The pump it comes with is fine. I have used these tops for a few years and they work great . **Q: With this kit do you still need to pound the veggies before inserting in the jar?** A: Hi Joy. No, you do not need to pound the veggies first. Nice, right? However, if that is what you typically do, there is certainly no downside in doing so. (We want these to remove work from you - not add any). Also, if you add a starter culture that magnifies the amount of probiotics, the veggies will ferment perfectly even without pounding them first. **Q: My pump has stopped working. Is it possible to purchase that item seperately?** A: You’d have to contact the company. Take the pump apart and clean It ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome lids! *by S***A on 9 June 2026* The lids are fantastic!
