The Flo-Well Dry Well Filter Fabric Wrap adds a layer of protection by preventing soil from entering the punched-out weep holes of the Flo-Well Dry Well Side Panels and Cover Kit. The 2 ft. wide X 7 ft. long fabric fits around the entire dry well tank and protects the system in all soil conditions. For best results, use the filter fabric wrap when punching out all 30 1-in. weep holes, which increases the water infiltration rates into surrounding soils.The right solution for draining specific areas in your yard that are prone to flooding, the Flo-Well Dry Well System is installed underground to collect, temporarily store, and slowly release excess water into the ground or out through an installed Pop-Up Emitter. This prevents water damage and eliminates traditional drainage problems such as standing water in yards. **Q: Is this suitable as a sump pit liner (to prevent silt buildup in basin)?**
A: Yes, works very well.

**Q: Could i use this under the grate on a channel drain to prevent rock/dirt/leaves from entering my drainage system?**
A: You should be able to.  It is a fabric that prevents soil from passing through in to the well.👍🏻

**Q: Can we use it for a fish pond filter?**
A: I'm using it to filter fine dirt through a pump to drain my back yard when it floods, and I'm using rocks before the pump as a rough filter for leaves and coarse dirt.  So, it might be suitable for a pond, though I don't know if it will hold up to prolonged use. Hope this helps you.

**Q: What is the thickness of the fabric**
A: I don't know but it seams pretty tough it's not a light weight.
