She was doing great again UNTIL I gave her the next dose of this flea medicine and the next day was the first time I saw my dog have a full blown seizure and yet again she was drooling excessively, vomited, peed on the floor, and couldn't walk straight. I took her to the vet again and she thought she might have epilepsy. I remembered the prior summer and then discussed with her how she was having some issues last year like vomiting and some weird body movement and what I thought might be very small seizures. BUT that they stopped over winter after I stopped giving her the flea medicine and started up worse this year the day after I started the medicine. The Vet looked up the medicine and video I shared with her of my dog having a seizure and said that the Advantix Flea medicine does have an ingredient that can cause seizures and the other symptoms she was displaying and agreed it very well could be the medicine. She ended up having 1 more seizure 2 weeks after the 2nd flea treatment as the medicine stays in their system for at least 30-days. She has been good since and that was several months ago. I will no longer be giving her flea medicine like this as it is not worth it due to the very serious side effects.
