I got an email from the seller saying something about an O-ring.** A: Yes definitely. You can remove the O-ring, which is nested inside the cap, with a tool that has a pointed end such as a small fork. Be careful not to damage the O-ring though. I hope it helps! **Q: Are these bottles light enough to be used as portable drink bottles?** A: They're a little heavier than plastic water bottles but that hasn't stopped our family from using them as portable drink bottles. I fill them with cold water and keep them in the refrigerator. My teenagers grab them on their way out the door. **Q: are these colored bottles or clear?** A: clear and beautiful.
