Any way to get around this? Thanks!** A: I'd suggest using the non-permanent markers, Staedtler Lumocolor Non-Permanent Fine Point Markers (STD316WP4A6). **Q: Did I get a bad batch? Black is very light and "watery" on CD/DVD. Very faint when dry.** A: Must be bad, I've had 4 sets of these and they are all real vivid in all colors. Black is true black, even on CD's. **Q: is it a alcohol-based ink pen?** A: I believe so. I use them on laminated maps. The marker they use to remove the marks are alcohol based. I use my wife's acetone as well to remove the marks which works really well.
