In addition, the new "Touch Scale” function lets you intuitively play phrases on the X-Y touchpad, just as on the kaossilator. You can choose from sixteen different scales, and specify the root key and note range to ensure that your performance stays within your song. The "Gate Arp” function, borrowed from the kaossilator Pro, transmits note data based on tempo; Tap tempo and tempo sync are supported. Combined with the Touch Scale, the Gate Arp allows you to play tempo-synchronized phrases and rhythms simply by stroking the X-Y pad or playing the pads. Korg Kontrol Editor software The nanoPAD2 works with the "KORG KONTROL Editor" software – available free on the Korg website. **Q: does it come with the USB cord?**
A: Whoever designed packing for this product is an idiot. The cable is stuck behind a cardboard partition on one end of the box. If you opened the box from the wrong end you will not see the cable and it will look like the box only contains the manual and the controller. But yes, it does come with a cable.

**Q: Does this work with Logic Pro X and ProTools 11?**
A: I've used it successfully with both.  For Protools it took these extra Steps below.1. Install latest USB midi driver from http://korg.com/nanoseries22. Hold down set marker and play while plugging USB cable into NanoKontrol2 from your computer.3. In Pro Tools, click on setup and go to peripherals.4. Open the midi controllers tab in peripherals.5. Select "HUI" as type, NanoKotrol (slider/konb) for send to, and NanoKotrol (CNTRL) as the receive from port.

**Q: Does it come with software**
A: Yes they should still come with a suite of bundled software.. some Korg, UVI & AAS vst's.. Ableton Lite DAW as well.. Honestly the bundled software is worth more than the cost of the unit

La serie Nano della Korg è quanto di meglio si possa trovare, andando in ordine, per prezzo, efficacia, compattezza e versatilità. Per la versatilità, chiaramente, dovete essere anche voi un po' smanettoni... è un controller midi, non una lampada di Aladino ;-) Il Nano Pad 2 viene riconosciuto tranquillamente sia in ambito Windows che in quello Apple e, probabilmente, con un'interfaccia OTG, anche da tablet e cellulari (anche se ancora non ho provato). Nel mio caso lo uso con software per DJ, programmi di editing audio e video. Su alcuni (soprattutto quelli audio) la funzione Midi Learn aiuta a configurare i singoli pad con le funzioni che più interessano e che non sono quelle standard, per altri programmi, tipo Adobe Premiere e simili, lo uso per gestire delle macro che velocizzano il lavoro, tramite appositi software che si possono trovare googlando per convertire i comandi midi in comandi tastiera. La costruzione è pur vero che risulta un po' plasticosa (non dimenticate quel che costa, però), ma fa molto bene il suo dovere. Il cavetto, nel mio caso, risulta un po' corto ma qui su Amazon c'è l'imbarazzo della scelta e non è un problema prenderne uno che fa al caso vostro. Un buon acquisto a prescindere
