This is a society where the word 'sex' is sushed and 90% of the sex survivors live every single day with some memories haunting in the back of their head all the time. Women have been told or heard a word spread that this what is right when it comes to female sexuality and tend to believe it their whole life. The problem arises when her body functions in a different way she never heard of. This conflict between what's believed and what's the actual fact leaves her feeling broken. The knowledge about what's the science behind the female sexuality let us "unlearn the lies" been believed and see the things as they're. In "Come as you are", Emily Nagoski has uncovered this truth with science and I suggest every woman out there should read this book. And I got to know about this book from Sex Education series, where Maeve suggests this book to Aimee as she has complicated feelings about sex after sexual assault.
