These worked fine for installing a hard drive into the optical bay on my Mac Pro, and got rid of the vibration sounds instantly. I've kept the optical drive installed, and put a hard drive below it, but it's nice to see this bracket is designed to hold two hard drives, so if I ever want to ditch the optical drive and put in another hard drive, I'm already set to go. My drive, a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000.B, is rated at 27dB for idle, but doesn't list a seek noise rating. After installation, the seek noise is much less noticeable. I'll live with it for a few weeks before I decide if I want to switch drives to a WD green, as those are sound rated at 29 dB for seek. One quirk during installation, one of the rubber mounts loosened while I was tightening the mount screw into place, so I had to hold it to keep it from spinning while I turned the screw.
