It really is fully natural
Super glad this office is what it says it is. First of all it’s not like a regular sunscreen cream, it’s more on the chalky grainy side but don’t imagine chalk or bits on your skin, it spreads into your skin just as regular sunscreen so the actual cream itself is a plus for me. There’s many natural sunscreens and when you apply them they leave a oily super frictiony layer that stays no matter what. Not the case with this brand, u can tell this is homemade or I should say made with actual love and car with real ingredients. Blocks me from the UV rays in Florida so that alone tells u this products really WORKS. Get this all I gotta say lol

Very good product as a natural sunscreen product
Very good product as a natural sunscreen product. I actually love the scent of it. I bought two of these for a two week vacation for my husband and I in Hawaii, and we ended up only using one bottle. It goes on think and takes a little bit of rubbing in, but overall it felt great and stayed on well in the water. Keeping in mind this isn't a chemical sunscreen, we had to get out more frequently to dry off and apply more sunscreen and wait than we typically would for other products. The reason for four stars instead of five is due to the "rub off" and lack of breathability. I noticed on any dark item like my travel bag and the vinyl in the car there would be white marks that did take a bit of work to clean off. Regarding the breathability: I went for a run outside late in the morning (around 10 AM) in Hawaii so I applied this sunscreen. About half a mile in, when I started sweating, I noticed I wasn't cooling off despite the nice breeze. That's when I realized, this stuff provides limited breathability, I was a little disappointed in this aspect. However, I know that I applied a very thick application of it. To counter this, ran earlier, applied less, and only to where I knew I'd get hit hardest by the sun. Overall, both of us liked it and I appreciate the hard work it takes to make a decent, toxic-free sunscreen.

Very Hard to Apply w an earthy smell
Very thick texture that makes it hard to apply n blend into my skin. Smells weird like dirt. Leave a white mark on my skin that doesn’t go away. Is it bc it’s from the mineral ingredients like it claims? It says non-greasy n non-sticky, but I still feel a little greasy on my skin, unlike other Asian brands I’ve used. I might just return it.

5 Stars for a Specific Purpose
I am a blond haired blue eyed melanoma survivor and have another condition called dysplastic nevi. Lets just say I have a lot of moles, and in Florida, that is not a good thing. I have used chemical based suncreens up till now, but am becoming increasingly worried about the contents of these products. Although a chemical screen works great at sun blockage, what is the residual effect?Anyway, on to the product. We went to the beach Sunday morning for about 4 hours. I used Peak on my face and legs. I wear a long sleeve sunblock swimwear shirt, so usually do not apply anything to arms and trunk. In the 4 hours I reapplied once, as per instructions. It is important to understand that I conciously avoid constant direct sunlight due to my history, sitting under an umbrella, etc. We do walk the beach, shell, and spend time in the sun, but I am not in it directly for endless hours. I cannot say how it would perform for someone in direct exposure for long periods of time with no other protection.Peak, for my purposes, was completely effective in preventing exposure. I had no redness or burn, and as someone who burns easy, I would have if the product did not work.It goes on thick, and has an almost clay smell, not unpleasant, not overwelming. I actually like the smell and texture, almost that of a high qualtity skin creme. I did not expereince the chalkiness problem many people claim with zinc products, but that may often be impatience with application on their part. It's is great to have a non chemical alternative, especially for someone who is at risk, both from the sun, and the unknown chemical brew. Thanks Peak!

Too sticky
After tying many sunscreens, I had settled on Devita's Solar Body Sunscreen Moisturizer, which I loved, but alas it was discontinued. So back to my search. I tried this one, but as with so many other mineral based sunscreens, it is not a lotion that slides easily over the skin, but a paste, thick and oily in such a way that it drags and pulls on the skin as one tries to spread it. Personally, I really don't like that, so to the trash it goes. I'm giving it 3 stars because otherwise it functions well as a sunscreen, and some folks might not mind the sticky feeling. I purchased this item as a body sunscreen and do not recommend putting something this sticky and oily on one's face.

Oxybenzone-free is for me! Quality product that works!
I actually was looking specifically for a sunscreen that was free of Oxybenzone. We discovered that my daughter was highly allergic to it and it was basically causing chemical burns when she was in the sun. She was only 5 when I moved her from the baby sunscreens to something with more coverage due to increased sun exposure. We live in Florida, as well, and sun protection is paramount. I usually protect her fair skin (and her twin brother’s) with SPF shirts and hats, but we still need more. I ordered your product based on the ingredients and zinc content and was so thrilled with the results. Not only did we have no reactions, but it worked WONDERFULLY and I did not need to lather it on in gobs. It lasts well through boat days and swimming, soccer practice and for regular everyday play. My kids inherited my fair skin, so I also use the product. I have even used it on my face, which as a woman in my mid-forties is also a plus. I’d prefer not to tote around several different bottles. We are very happy and will be customers for life. I place value on products that are made well, at an affordable price point with ingredients we understand. Thank you for making this and reaching out. It will make our summer fun just that; Enjoyable and carefree!
