Il a permis d'éviter un grosse fuite due à un tuyau d'arrosage qui s'est arraché pendant une absence de 15 jours, en coupant automatiquement l'arrivée d'eau. Du coup, le prix un peu élevé a été compensé par les mètres cubes économisés. il permet de détecter les grosses fuites soudaines mais aussi les petites fuites lentes. Une programmation lui permet néanmoins de ne pas se déclencher tout seul en cas de gros tirage d'eau volontaire.
